Prof. Dr. Pascal Dohmen

Specialist in cardiac surgery

Since the beginning of my medical studies, I have been intensively and passionately involved with the cardiovascular system.

Both during my studies and as a clinician, I dealt with clinical problems, analyzed them and developed practical solutions. In 2000, after a long period of research at the Charité, we performed the world’s first successful transplantation of a cultivated heart valve, which was awarded the internationally renowned “C. Walter Lillehei Award”. This was followed by numerous international visits to countries such as Belgium, Brazil, China, Denmark, Italy, South Africa and the USA to pass on and share these findings. This was the beginning of personalized patient treatment, which focuses on the individual patient.

In the years that followed, we established treatment methods that combine various innovative procedures with each other and combine the best of both worlds with great success in the so-called “hybrid procedure”.

The THERA Praxisklinik focuses on the prevention and individual treatment of chronic illnesses and stress, expanded to include cardiovascular diseases.

The aim is to use state-of-the-art diagnostic procedures and to develop an individual prevention strategy and special treatment methods on the basis of an interdisciplinary holistic therapy concept. A natural and gentle strategy is used to bring you back into a healthy balance.

This is always done according to the latest scientific findings.
